A Rose for Sara

It was 29 years ago today that Sara and I were married. Sara passed away on January 30, 2013. This painting was a tribute to Sara. It was taken from a photo that I took of Sara holding Michael as a two year old at Darlington Provincial Park in 1995. I made prints of it and gave one to Sara's parents and brothers. Michael will have the original painting. I added a rose and a bench in an idealistic setting and titled it 'A Rose for Sara'. RIP. 20" x 30" acrylic on board.

Tic Tacs (Update)

Managed to more or less complete the marble today. Must soften the edges and tone back the hilite in front of it. Little tweaks I'll notice in the next day or so before varnishing. Must get it properly photographed as well. Included a shot of my chaotic work space (in my bedroom). 24" x 18" Acrylic on canvas.
