Gilles Villeneuve 1971 Mustang Boss 351

I've begun a project to depict Gilles with his '71 Mustang Boss 351. Gilles used to race this car in his native Quebec. In the ’80s, Gilles shipped it across the Atlantic. His wife Joann drove it from Monaco to the Swiss Alps where the family lived, and to take their children to school. It will likely be depicted with markers and coloured pencil.

New Christmas Ornament

Started another ornament today. Got one side complete, still one side to do.

Halifax Christmas

A small 8x10 acrylic on canvas depicting a Handley-Page Halifax. I visited the National Airforce Museum of Canada last year where they have a restored Halifax NA337. In the early morning of 24 April 1945, that Halifax crashed into Lake Mjøsa in Norway, killing five of the six aircrew on board. Years later, Tore Marsoe and his friend Rolf Liberg decided to locate the aircraft. In 1991, they found it in the lake at a depth of 750 feet (250 metres). The Halifax was eventually raised from Lake Mjøsa and brought back to Canada, where it took over ten years to restore it to its original glory. It is now proudly exhibited at the National Air Force Museum of Canada. There is also a beautiful volume telling it’s story.

Long May You Run - International Transtar

A scene depicting a vintage International Transtar. I wanted to depict a somewhat romanticized image of long haul trucking from the past. I think that this scene gets it across, an independent of yesteryear hauling along a lonely desert highway at night when the temperature is a bit cooler. Gouache on board. 16” x 10.75"

Peterbilt 352

A scene depicting a vintage Peterbilt 352. This is a kind of “re-do” interpretation of the AMT box art from the 70’s of the same truck. Markers and coloured pencil on Strathmore paper.

(QPRS): F1 GRAND PRIX RACING BY THE NUMBERS

I'm proud to have my work included in a beautiful volume entitled: QUALITY POINT RATING SYSTEM (QPRS): F1 GRAND PRIX RACING BY THE NUMBERS (1950-2019) by CLYDE P. BERRYMAN. The book is chock full of amazing art by an array of automotive artists from around the world. The book is ideal for F1 fans who appreciate the stats and behind the scenes info while also being a visual feast on the aesthetics of cutting edge technology. Thanks to Clyde Berryman for the invitation to include my work in this volume. Looking forward to future projects with Clyde.

Lakeview Park Oshawa

I would like to do more landscape work. This one is close to completion. I may add in a figure or two, will sit on it for a day or two. My scanner also couldn't get the entire image so I may have it photographed instead. 24" x 12", acrylic on canvas.
