Handel Pastel WIP

Further to my pencil study in January, I have started in on the colour version of the Baroque master in his composition room. Size is 18.75" x 25".

Dog Portrait Commission WIP

Here is the first stage of an acrylic portrait commission. The challenge with this one will be to establish a viewpoint that will be less of a bird's eye and more of an eye level for a better portrait composition.

Miss Detroit sketch finished

This sketch is complete. This gives me a colour scheme and an overall feel to work with for the larger pastel. Details like panel line (indications), fleshing out the figures will need to be done. I'll have to get my son to pose for some of the images I think.

Another sale on Fine Art America

My John Lennon print sold yesterday to a buyer from Arizona who ordered a glossy canvas version of this print. http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/norbert-lisinski.html
An update with the figures started. I almost overlooked the fact that I should portray them in shorts and shirtless to go with a tropical theme. I will need to flesh out the figures in the oil pastel as it will be around 25" wide so the figures will be much larger than they are here. This painting is 14.5" x 8.75"

Miss Detroit Acrylic sketch WIP

Here is an in-progress shot of an acrylic colour sketch to work out the colour scheme. I've got a long way to go on this yet, but before I start on a large piece of pastel paper it's safer for me to have something to work by.
