Freightliner Ad

Here is a conceptual ad for White Freightliner. It’s based loosely on the style used by them from the 70’s. This image was scratch made from bits and pieces found on the internet and the paint scheme itself was rendered with Adobe illustrator and photoshop. The truck was assembled using various parts from different images to create a fairly clean overall image. For example, the bumper and front grille were not an original part of the Freightliner to begin with. The scene is inspired by an episode of “Movin On”, the TV series that ran from ’74-’76. The episode I based this on was from season one, and that episode was titled “High Rollers”. The episode takes place in Vegas and there is a scene at night where Will Chandler (Frank Converse) is conversing with Chuck (Robert F. Lyons) who is the driver of said Freightliner. That scene takes place in the parking lot of the now torn down Landmark Hotel & Casino that stood in Vegas from 1969 to 1995. I liked the paint scheme of the Freightliner so I decided to do this project. This ad is actually an intro to my next project which will likely be a gouache rendering on illustration board that will depict this truck and the W900 of Sonny and Will.
